Butterfly Mixed Media Print

This mixed-media artwork features a collection of hand-folded origami butterflies, each crafted from paper and arranged in a carefully designed pattern on a cardboard base. I then individually glued each butterfly to create a visually dynamic composition. To add another layer of meaning and texture, I printed a large butterfly, created by using an old takeout container as a makeshift stamp. This was then applied over the origami forms. This final element unifies the piece and emphasizes the theme of environmental consciousness. By using recycled materials and highlighting the beauty found in reuse, I really wanted this piece to serve as a thoughtful commentary on sustainability and the importance of protecting our environment through creative repurposing.
